Newsletter: Christmas crafting and Panto!
Christmas Crafting
The beginning of the week was dedicated to Christmas crafts and lots of our residents took the opportunity to give their creative skills free reign. We made some beautiful cards to send to family and friends and also enjoyed decorating wooden Christmas tree ornaments to hang on our home made log tree.
Panto Time!
On Tuesday, we were delighted to be joined by players from Northeast Producers Ltd, who treated us to a fantastic pantomime version of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Our residents gathered in the lounge and enjoyed watching this hilarious retelling of the classic Christmas tale. The event culminated in a Christmas carol sing-a-long, with our residents keen to join in and give the professionals a run for their money . It was lovely to be able to welcome visitors back into the home, as these events really help to keep everyone’s spirits up, so we were pleased it was able to go ahead despite these testing times.
Hair and Beauty
Our residents like to look their best, so we know how important our regular hair and nail sessions are. After a morning’s pampering, everyone was spruced up and ready for our Christmas parties.
